We will be glad to exchange, credit, or refund the cost of the item. Freight and Handling charges cannot be reimbursed, so please be aware that if you are returning a product offered with "Free Shipping," the actual shipping costs will be deducted from the refund. Additionally, most manufacturers charge a 50% re-stocking fee, which will also be deducted from the refund amount.

Please note that some products cannot be returned or exchanged, such as made-to-order/ custom products, close-out/ overstocked items, and products with health and sanitary considerations (such as sleepers). Some manufacturers have a no-return policy.

We promise you won't be surprised with any hidden charges. The fees you see for products offered with free shipping is exactly what you'll pay, unless you live in Florida where sales tax applies. Please be aware that if you return an item marked as Free Shipping, the actual shipping costs will be deducted from your return refund. Not all products qualify for free shipping. Products that do not qualify are clearly marked. If you order a product without free shipping, the correct shipping fee will be calculated in the shopping cart when you enter your zip code. All items are shipped insured. In the rare event your furniture is damaged during shipment you will not be responsible. On the approximate date that your order leaves the manufacturer, all remaining balance will be charged. When the shipping company gets within a day or two of you, they will contact you to schedule a time for delivery. Furniture is shipped curbside delivery and arrangements will need to be made by the customer for the furniture to be carried into the house. Our experience has been that the drivers can be helpful if you are courteous and offer a tip. We cannot, however, guarantee this so we recommend having help available when they arrive.

White Glove Delivery is available for an additional $149.00 if desired. With White Glove Delivery, the agents will bring your furniture into the room of your choice and remove all of the packaging materials from your home. White Glove includes up to one flight of stairs and package removal. Any additional services may require additional costs.

All Items are factory packaged and brand new.

Each of our sets have a different shipping time. Many of our sets ship within 4-6 weeks from the date we process your order which means you will have it within 6-8 weeks in most cases but can be up to 10 weeks. This is part of our under promise, over deliver policy so don’t be surprised if it shows up sooner. WE’ve learned that it is better to tell you 6 to 8 weeks and have it show up early than to tell you 4-6 weeks and have an unexpected problem with the freight company that causes a small delay.

Products will be shipped using a Freight Carrier due to the heaviness or oversized proportions of the product. A signature is also required to establish proof of delivery, please be sure to count all boxes to verify that you have received your entire order prior to signing. Additional delivery fees such as Ferry Fees/Gated Community Fees that are required to access your address will be billed to the consumer when incurred.

Shipping Dates

All shipping dates are approximates from the manufacturer to your home. Once shipped, our free standard shipping usually takes 10-15 business days to ship to our customers. When upgrading to White Glove service, we will ship your furniture to a White Glove delivery team in your area. They will then contact you to make final delivery arrangements. This service will add 4-7 additional days to your delivery time. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE DELIVERY DATES as manufacturing and shipping delays can occur. Fortunately, over 95% of all of our orders meet our scheduled ship dates. To cancel an order due to a delay in shipping, please follow Our Stressless Return Policy. A restocking fee and any applicable shipping charges will apply.

Deliveries made by freight companies follow the policies as set forth by the Freight Company:

  • Require a person to be present to sign for the delivery at the time the furniture is delivered.
  • The delivery service is by "Threshold Delivery Service" which means that the truck driver will bring the carton through the threshold of your home, and is not required to assist with un-packing, set-up, or clean up. If the package is heavy, you may need to provide and use a dolly or seek others to assist you. If inside home or business delivery or a lift gate is needed, please contact customer service at: 1-855-EXPsofa (855-397-7632), as additional charges will apply.
  • If you live in a Isolated/Remote Area, your delivery may be delayed, as carriers may only deliver to that area once or twice a month. A Remote Zone Area represents less than 12% of the population in the United States. $105 will be added to each order to deliver into a Remote Zone Area and require up to 5 additional business days to complete. Isolated Zone Area represents less than 1% of the population in the United States. These are islands and sounds. Deliveries to these areas are preformed on a quote basis only. Delivery Terminal Routing for Remote and Isolated Areas may take up to 24 hours to preform.
  • New York City Surcharge - A $75 Surcharge for Zip Codes beginning with 100 through 104, and 110 through 116. Area Includes: Manhattan, Bronx, Staten Island, Brooklyn, Queens, and Western Nassau County.
  • For residential deliveries, the freight company will schedule a time for delivery with you. Freight companies do not schedule appointments with businesses.
  • Additional delivery fees such as Ferry Fees/Gated Community Fees that are required to access your address will be billed to the consumer when incurred. Any missed deliveries, needing to be rescheduled will result in a re-delivery fee and will be charged to the customer. Typical freight delivery hours are Mon.- Fri. 8am-5pm, except holidays.

Signing Deliveries as Complete

A signature is required to establish proof of delivery, please be sure to count all boxes to verify that you have received your entire order prior to signing. If there are missing cartons and the Bill of Lading is not signed short, replacements cost will be the responsibility of the customers.

Custom Furniture/Furnishings Returns

Where offered, we are happy to customize pieces or collections with special colors, designs, accessories, etc. Special order merchandise is custom-made upon order and is non-returnable and non-refundable. A custom piece or set includes any piece we sell that is not in-stock, has to be produced, has color or design options, or is designated to take more than 14-days to ship. For example, if the stated ship time for a piece is over 3 weeks, it's a custom piece of furniture. Special orders require a minimum 50% deposit, non-refundable after 72 hours from time of purchase. Special orders have a 50% cancelation fee, if the order is canceled more than 72 hours after placement.

Standard Furniture Delivery Process

With Standard Furniture Delivery, your entire shipment is delivered through the threshold of your home by Lodeso Logistics Freight Company.

  • Your delivery will be scheduled over the phone for someone during normal business hours.
  • A two person team will arrive at your location during your designated four hour window.
  • The team will unload your furniture, and bring it to the first dry area.
  • Once the furniture is delivered, the driver will ask you to inspect, note any problems, and sign for the delivery. We want to make sure that you are completely satisfied.

Our Standard Furniture Delivery Service is provided by transportation companies who specialize in shipping furniture. When this service is selected, it means the furniture will be delivered into your home, or into the first dry area. This could be your garage or just over the threshold of your home. (Carriers Choice). For apartments that do not have a vestibule, your delivery would be taken up two flights of stairs.

Our White Glove Delivery Service

  • With a White Glove -Room of Choice Furniture Delivery, your entire shipment is delivered to the room or location of your choice, by Lodeso Logistics Delivery Company.
  • Your delivery will be scheduled over the phone for someone during normal business hours.
  • A two person team will arrive at your location during your designated four hour window.
  • The team will unload your furniture, carry it up as many as two flights of stairs, and bring it to your room of choice.
  • Once the furniture is delivered, the driver will ask you to inspect, note any problems, and sign for the delivery. We want to make sure that you are completely satisfied.

Our White Glove Delivery Service is provided by transportation companies who specialize in shipping furniture. When this service is selected, it means the furniture will be delivered into your home, into the first dry area of your home. This would be just over the threshold of your home. We understand that it is very important that you receive your new furniture in perfect damage-free condition, that's why we pay extra to have your furniture delivered by White Glove service.

  • Our White Glove Service only moves new furniture, unlike other delivery companies that move many different types of large items.
  • Our drivers are specifically trained how to handle furniture.

There are no tiered levels of service with our White Glove Service. All furniture deliveries receive the highest level of service available with delivery into you home and your room of choice.

Tax Information

If you live outside the state of Florida, sales tax does not apply to anything you purchase from us. Some states may bill you directly for "Use Tax", which is similar to Sales Tax. Use tax affects items purchased outside the state you live in which are shipped within the state for your use, that you did not pay Sales Tax on. You are responsible for all Use or Sales taxes billed by your State (other than Florida Sales Tax).

When will my credit card be charged?

We have a pre-pay policy to protect ourselves from fraudulent orders. Your credit card will be charged 24 to 72 hours after you submit your order.

Our Stressless Return Policy

At Leather Express Online, we want you to be extremely happy with your furniture purchase. Therefore, you may rest assured that you can return most products within 7 days of receipt under the following conditions:

  1. All returned products must be in original condition and packaging; In the case of having a White Glove Delivery, customer is responsible for keeping the original packaging. Unfortunately, we cannot take returns of products that have been assembled or modified.
  2. Prior return authorization is required by calling (1-855-EXPsofa (855-397-7632) (Toll-Free), or emailing Help@LeatherExpressOnline.com. Failure to obtain return authorization will result in your return be refused and shipped back to you at your cost.
  3. The initial freight charges plus a 50% restocking fee will be deducted from the amount of credit given. Return freight and shipping insurance is the responsibility of the customer. If at any time Leather Express Online, its subsidiaries, or the manufacturer is billed for return freight, that amount will be deducted from your final refund or charged back to you if refund has already been issued.
  4. Most of our products are offered with free shipping, so please be aware that if you return one of these products the actual shipping costs will be deducted from your return refund.
  5. For undeliverable or refused shipments, the customer will be responsible for the initial freight (including actual shipping costs in a "free shipping offer"), and any and all return charges for freight, plus a 50% restocking fee. The customer is responsible for the cost of insuring the return freight.

Do NOT alter your item/s in anyway without prior authorization in writing from Leather Express Online. Once items are altered the item/s can not be returned or exchanged, nor can parts be ordered to correct the damage and freight claims can not be filed if item/s are damaged in transit. Once items are altered it voids all product warranties. **Altering a product would be defined as making any changes to the product that is not instructed in the products assembly directions or repairing damage of product such as, but not limited to: wood fillers, markers to cover starches, locking devices added to units, etc.

Refunds/Credits

Any furniture that is authorized to be returned by Leather Express Online Returns Department must be returned to Leather Express's warehouse within (14) calendar days of authorization for the buyer to receive credit on their account. Returns must be in their original packaging for return shipment. Please see the Returns Packaging details. Refunds/credits are issued once the product is received back at Leather Express's warehouse in its new and original condition, correctly packaged as stated above, and inspected by a Leather Express representative to be free of any damages. Any returns not received within (14) days will not be credited back to the customer until merchandise is received. Once merchandise is received, a credit will be issued. Leather Express Online reserves the right to modify its exchange and return policies at any time.

Our Stressless Damage Protection

All furniture/furnishings are inspected thoroughly prior to shipment and heavy-duty packaging is used to prevent shipping damages. We also use the best transporters in the country to make sure your furniture arrives safely. However, accidents can happen and because of that we insure EVERY single shipment on your behalf at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE to you. One of the advantages this offers is that it requires you to sign for your furniture, allowing you to inspect the packaging for any shipping damage. Once your order reaches the local delivering company, the shippers will call you 24-hours in advance to confirm your final delivery window. We do this not because we are expecting damage, but, because on occasion, damage can happen. We are very fortunate that our damage rate is less than 2%, less than 2 in 100 shipments.

In the event that a piece does get damaged, it is very easy to resolve the situation. When the furniture arrives, be sure to inspect it before you sign for it. This is especially true if you notice any damage to the outer packaging. If there is damage, please follow these four simple steps:

  1. Don't panic; your furniture is insured.
  2. Keep all of the undamaged pieces.
  3. With the driver still there, call us at 1-855-EXPsofa (855-397-7632), and we will help you determine if the damaged piece should be kept at your home or sent back with the delivery team. Please do not make this decision before speaking with us.
  4. Sign the bill of lading/delivery receipt, making sure to note the specific damage. State only the facts of the damage and which pieces were affected.

It is very important that you follow these steps so that we can give you the highest level of customer service. In the rare event that there is hidden damage (damage that isn't seen until after the driver leaves), please contact us within 24-hours of delivery to report it. This gives us appropriate time to file a claim with the shipping company. Most delivery companies have a 48-hour window to report hidden damage, so it is important that we follow their guidelines.

We will accept claims for furniture with proof of hidden damage (i.e. pictures, video, etc.) within 48-hours of the delivery date. Any and all manufacturing defects, must be reported within 72 hours of receipt of the furniture.

Since all of our furniture ships insured, Leather Express Online reserves the right to attempt to repair or replace manufacturing defects and freight damage at ours or the manufacturer's discretion. If you do not desire a replacement or repair, you may return it using our Stressless Returns Policy. Leather Express Online is not responsible for repair or exchange of furniture and furnishings due to consumer use or abuse. Examples of consumer abuse are cuts, punctures or slices, ink marks, cigarette burns, scratches or scuffs (either to the seating area/pillows or the exterior sides and back), tears from improper moving of furniture, spills of any liquid, glue, vomit, urine, blood or anything else not deemed a manufacturing defect.

In the case you wish to cancel your order before it ships, we allow you 48 hours from the time you placed the order for a full refund. We will make our best effort to cancel your order, but after 48 hours or if it's in production and/or in the shipping process then Our Stressless Return Policy applies. If at anytime you choose to refuse your shipment, then we will automatically refund your order under Our Stressless Return Policy.

Other Notable Possibilities You Should Be Aware Of:

  • It is important to know that colors and finishes will sometimes vary from what you have seen on our site or in a store. This can be due to normal finish/color variations or it can be because some computer monitors don't adequately represent the true colors. With regard to leather, we do offer a free swatch/sample program from participating manufacturers. Should you request it, we will mail you actual samples (if in stock) for your consideration. Please keep in mind that there will be an allowable variance in the color. It is important to know however that if you do not elect or order a sample, any variation in your selection from what you saw online, or in a store, is the responsibility of the purchaser. If you are not satisfied in either of the cases above, you may return your item(s) using Our Stressless Return policy.
  • In rare instances, there may be errors on your order including selecting the wrong number of pieces, selection of the wrong item, or even selection of an incorrect leather. Whether your order is entered by you or by us, you have 24 hours after your order is acknowledged to review it and bring any discrepancies to our attention. We will immediately correct them. However, if you do not advise us of any errors, we will assume that you have reviewed the order and it is correct. Should you receive such an order, it is returnable using our Stressless Return Policy. However, should a manufacturer make an error, we will resolve that at no cost to you.
  • We encourage you to be very careful in terms of ensuring that your new furniture will fit into your home and/or room. We provide all dimensional measurements to you on our site for this specific purpose. Please know that if you find that the furniture you purchased doesn't fit into your home and/or room, you may return it using Our Stressless Return Policy.

Backorder & Discontinued Policy

We receive intermittent backorder and discontinued reports from most, but not all of our manufacturers, and there is a small possibility that some items listed on our site may have been back ordered or discontinued by the manufacturer before we are informed of their status. When we are notified by the manufacturer that a product is on backorder, becomes on backorder, or is discontinued by the manufacturer after the order has been placed, you will be sent an email with the current backorder or discontinued status of your order and you will have the option cancel or receive the item(s) at the time of the estimated new delivery date.

The estimated "availability" date, if shown, is not a firm commitment by us to ship your product on or before that date. The date may change according to the manufacturer's ability to fulfill the order. All orders, must be paid for at the time of ordering. For orders placed with multiple pieces, all items from the same manufacturer as the backordered item will be held until everything is available for shipment. Items not from the same manufacturer as the backordered item will ship as originally expected. You can request that the available items be shipped out now and the backordered item when it becomes available however, there will be additional shipping charges.

If your product is found to be discontinued you will have the choice of a full refund of the discontinued item cost plus any shipping fees or taxes that were originally charged or you may choose another similar item (any increase in price will be charged, any decrease in price will be refunded).

About Leather Swatch Samples

What should you expect with Leather Furniture? Leather is a natural product and will have various natural markings and shaded variations. The following is a list of natural markings that you may see on your furniture. Scars, Stretch marks, Grain variation, Neck wrinkles, Bug bites, rough areas or smooth areas and Branding marks. Please understand that Leather is a skin and will wrinkle and stretch. (Just as your own does) The sizes are approximate and may vary from the manufacturer’s specs. This is acceptable due to the fact this is made by humans. Color may vary a shade or two. Leather is a dyed product and no two hides are alike. Due to grain variation and other natural markings the color may vary. You should only use any swatch or color sample as a guide and not an exact color. Upon delivery you may see some wrinkles on the leather due to packing, these will come out with use. It may also be a little "puffy" from air that is trapped inside, this will also settle. Your furniture will take a couple of weeks to "break in" and conform to the way you use it.

Leather Match Option

What is Leather Match Furniture? Basically, wherever the body touches the furniture is 100% top grain leather, and has a Vinyl Match on the backside and underneath. Anywhere your body does not normally touch, will be vinyl. When you choose the leather match option the grade and LM will appear in the shopping cart. LM = Leather Match. So for example, when you choose grade 1000 and the leather match option it will appear as 1000LM in the shopping cart. When you choose grade 2000 and the leather match option it will appear as 2000LM in the shopping cart.
